Instructional Consultation Team
MISSION
The mission of the Instructional Consultation Team is to ensure academic success for every student by providing immediate and coordinated support to classroom teachers and their students. ICT helps teachers find solutions to students’ learning problems through precise classroom based assessment and collaborative problem solving. ICT provides a more instructionally responsive learning environment for students, parents, and teachers.
GOAL
To enhance, improve, and increase student and staff performance
OBJECTIVES

Provide opportunities for staff to request assistance for areas of professional growth

Provide opportunities for staff to participate, on a voluntary basis, in a collaborative problem solving case concerning an individual student or groups of students

To develop school based systematic support network for teachers to generate creative solutions to staff needs

To enhance teacher skills and use of research-based instructional strategies and assessments
Steps in the ICT Process
· Teacher completes Request for Assistance form and turns into ICT Team
- Contracting
· Teacher agreement to complete ICT process
- Problem Identification & Analysis
· Gather information and clarify area of concern
· Conduct a curriculum based assessment
· Prioritize concerns based on data
- Strategy Design
· Establish a current level of performance
· Set goals
· Decide on instructional strategies (Research-based)
- Strategy Implementation
· Implement strategies
· Monitor progress on Student Documentation Form (SDF)
- Strategy Evaluation
· Evaluate effectiveness of strategies based on data collection
- Follow–up / Closure
· Success in meeting goals
